
Esports on January 24–25, 2026
The Icelandic Esports Association (RÍSÍ), in cooperation with the Reykjavík Sports Federation, will host a youth esports competition at the Reykjavík International Games 2026. On January 24–25, promising young players from RÍSÍ’s member clubs will compete in Fortnite and Minecraft.
The competition will take place in the impressive facilities of Arena Gaming – Smáratorg, where everything will be set up for a top-tier event.
The venue is open to everyone who wishes to attend and watch the next generation of esports players take their first steps in a real competitive environment.
Schedule
All competitions are played over two days. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday after the competition concludes.
Saturday – January 24
10:30–12:00 Minecraft (Building Competition)
12:00–18:00 Fortnite (Solo and Team Competition)
Sunday – January 25
10:30–12:00 Minecraft (Challenge Competition)
12:00–18:00 Fortnite (Solo and Team Competition)
